This book is different in that other than providing the mathematical details of the theory behind AI, it gives readers the correct insight into how AI models work. Moreover, on the practical side, every single line of code is clearly explained, so that no stone is left unturned for the reader. With this book, I wanted people to have a very well-structured AI resource, that they can access or take anywhere, whether at the library, or on a plane. And of course, my intention was to share my knowledge and the 'AI message' as a core tenet. Read more What are the key takeaways from your book? The main takeaway is that AI can bring added value to every industry, and the book demonstrates that by including many industry case studies. Also, another key takeaway is that anyone can learn and master AI from this book, because it contains all the AI foundations (as well as a full chapter on how to code in Python) for beginners, in addition to advanced industry case studies solved by higher level AI models for intermediates. My purpose here is to democratize Artificial Intelligence while incentivizing people to do AI for a good cause. Hence my motivation is not only to spread the knowledge of AI to a wider audience than my online courses, but also to share the important message that AI is a very promising technology that can solve the challenges we face in the 21st century. My favorite project is by far the self-driving car, because we work hard to build an advanced AI model. The result is a fun application that allows you to literally play with the car, and even design some tough navigational maps to test it out. It's a lot of fun! Whats also cool about the other projects in this book is that they all have legitimacy within a real-world context. The book discusses how different industries can leverage AI to innovate and make a positive difference in this world, and these projects are in their own ways tied into that theme. Read more
