This is a phonics instruction book to teach beginning reading. The child will go from letter sounds, to letter blends and finally to reading sentences. This book focuses on phonetic reading and the short vowel sounds. The vowels are in red to encourage elongating the vowels which helps with the blending process in reading. The lessons are about 10 minutes each, short and simple. The book is intended for children ages 3-7 as a primer for beginning reading. Children do not need prior reading skills for this book. After the child completes the 51 lessons, they will be reading decodable sentences with ease. The author taught 4 of her children to read by the age of 3 with this simple method! She also has testimonials from many parents and teachers who have tried the method with the same success. It has worked wonders with many children including special needs children!
