Lets begin! Read more Step-by-Step Projects Straw-Blown Paint Using a straw to blow paint around on the canvas is a fun and super-easy way to create beautiful abstract flowers. I enjoy this technique not only for the awesome shapes I can create, but also for the great definition between colors that appears on the canvas. Dip The dip technique is one of my favorites because of the way the paint blends, creating a very different outcome than what you usually see with poured paint. Here, I poured the paint onto a flat surface and then dipped the canvas in the paint. You can also pour the paint onto a canvas and then dip another canvas in the paint. String Pull The string pull is popular among fluid artists for creating beautiful abstract flowers. Using items like string or a necklace chain, you can create a more intentional design. You can dip the string in a single paint color or multiple colors to change up the final outcome! Read more Variation: Wandering Tree Ring A variation on the tree ring pour, the wandering tree ring involves moving your cup in a circular motion over a large area of the canvas. I used a wood circle for this piece. Because this technique involves pouring paint over the entire wood surface, not just in one spot like in the regular tree-ring pour, you dont need to put down a base coat of paint first.
