In the year of 1993 my hunting partner Harry and myself entered into the Land Between the Lakes Recreation area. We traveled there for the purpose of Spring Turkey hunting and backwoods camping. It was a beautiful spring in the L. B.L. with flowers and greenery and wildlife everywhere. The birds were singing and the creeks were alive with aquatic life. We found a great campsite in the extreme backwoods of the Devil’s Backbone. We did not realize what he had set in motion by the choice of our campsite. Harry and I were avid back country campers and hunters. Both of us having visited the L. B.L. and other backwoods of Kentucky and Tennessee. We had been raised hunting and fishing since we were both small boys. In 1993 neither of us had ever heard of local legends nor considered ourselves BIGFOOT believers. From what we both knew at that time our mentality was that if there were indeed BIGFOOT they lived in the California Redwoods or Washington state. There was nothing like that in Kentucky or Tennessee and if there were we absolutely was not afraid of it. However, before our hunting trip was finished our outlook upon the phenomenon of BIGFOOT or the local legend of DOGMAN would be changed forever. The hunting trip would turn into a horrifying event that would leave Harry and myself scared mentally for the rest of our life, and leave my friend Harry physically impaired for life ending his career in law enforcement. It would cause me to spend the next thirty years of my life in pursuit of truth investigating this phenomenon. I would interview over two hundred witnesses and investigate hundreds of sites searching for evidence such as tracks, hair and DNA samples. I would lead many expeditions into Land Between the Lakes and even National Parks where witnesses and events that would be reported to me. I did this in total secrecy never seeking any recognition or notoriety by the public. The following is an account of some of the witnesses and their direct contact with the phenomenon of BIGFOOT and DOGMAN. You will also learn of what took place in the Devil’s Backbone that changed my entire belief of what these beasts are and possibly where they live.
