The formative text of Taoism includes this 6th century B. C.E. collection of teachings known as Dao De Jing (or Tao Te Ching) by the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu. Written approximately 500 years before the Hebrew Messiah Jesus Christ walked the earth, there is a good chance Christ was familiar with and studied this work.
